My strong recommendation is that this is not a DIY job!  The Polices and Procedures must be robust and do the job, the Contract of Employment is a legally binding document that must be right.  The moment you will need to rely on these employment documents will be the moment you realise you do need to have the right things written down agreed and acted upon in order to be able to manage your employment responsibilities in a professional manner. However if you don't have this all set up it will be much more difficult or maybe even impossible to manage issues well. Denise offers good advice, appropriate to the organisation and allows you to benefit from her considerable skills knowledge and experience.
